As we were driving home on the ECP tonite
the hubs notices my sullen mood ....

hubs: why so quiet ?
me: feeling kinda low
(in my mind-monday blues already?!?!)
me: i need something sweet to cheer me up ...
from the back seat O-boy says ... "that would be ME!!"

that boy makes my heart smile ...

couple of layouts i made over the long weekend...
just had to scrap something after a tiring week at work ... sigh!

Oh February ... sigh !!

February is a special month for me ...

nope ....

it's not what you think ...

am not an avid Valentine's Day celebrator ....

this month is special to me because ....

my wedding anniversary falls on the 17 Feb ... it's our 7th !!!

and a few special people in my life are February babies ...

one of which is the hubs on 13th

my lil niece KA on the 20th

my lil brother 23rd

and a close cousin on the 15th

phew ...

there will be loads of pressie's flying around ....

hehehe ...

oh yeah !

7 ate 9 ...

One evening while tri-scootering in the condo compound ... he stops ...

O : "Mummy, why is 6 afraid of 7 ??
Me : emmmm ... I don't know baby ? (and pretends to not know this joke) ...
O : cos 7 ate 9, 7-8-9,7-8-9,7-8-9 !!! (+ proceeds to shriek with laughter)
Me : Oh, I get it ! Good one babe ! 7 must have been hungry huh?

Ofcourse I was talking to no one then, cos all I saw was O's back as he scootered away.



Amazing what they learn on tv nowadays, huh?

first up ...

wanna wish all of ye a wonderful year ahead ....

as you make plans and resolutions ....

here's me wishing you all the best ....

i have been holed up @ home with kiddo ...

he was to start school on wednesday ....

unfortunately, mr.bug found him on tuesday ...

he was down with fever and a sore throat since ...

and wouldn't want to eat anything ....

even his all time weakness - chocolate ice cream ....

i was at wits end ...

kiddo was not hydrating enough for my liking ....

so i asked him what he wanted to eat ...

he told me "my spicy noodles" ....

wanna guess which is his favourite instant noodle ?

nissin spicy noodles ....

i know some of ye may be shaking your heads at this ....

but i was desperate ...

i know for a fact that kiddo would down loads of water ...

if i gave him spicy noodles ...

so i cooked the noodles ...

removed the soup (too pedas lah) ...

and prepared a cup of cold ribena ...

you should have seen the speed at which he gobbled the noodles up ...

and drenched the fire on his tongue with ribena ....

he asked for another helping of noodles ...

and asked for a ribena refill ...

:) :) :)

he's much better today ...

fever hasn't shown itself since this morning ....

and ...

as i am typing this ...

he has eaten 2 pieces of peanutbuttered bread ...

a tub of grape yogurt ...

a yakult ...

and ribena !!!

dare i say kiddo is on the mend ?

hope i don't jinx this ....

fingers crossed and a prayer ...

oh ...
